Gabriel McCullogh (MACP)

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Gabriel is a graduate from Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology Programme, and has a diverse set of skills that contribute to his ability to connect with and support his clients. In 2010 Gabriel completed a 200-Hour Kripalu Yoga Teacher Training at the Kripalu Center in Massachusetts. He has taught yoga to those as young as 6 and as old as 86. Additionally, he taught for the Wellness Department at Wilfrid Laurier University, serving those students while completing his Undergraduate degree.

In 2015 Gabriel completed a BSc. in Kinesiology & Physical Education and Mathematics at Wilfrid Laurier University. The Kinesiology & Physical Education part of his education help Gabriel to see a person and their body as integrated and connected, and the Mathematics portion helps him to see the underlying structure in many aspects of the world and his work.

A foundational part of Gabriel’s life is a deep respect for nature and the environment. This led him to pursue work as a Tree Planter in both Ontario and British Columbia. Gabriel continues to practice his values of taking care of the Earth through recycling, and restoring old items to working condition (as his time allows).

Gabriel has a love for teaching, and has worked as a camp counsellor and mentor for youth at camp. He has also worked in the public school system as a Supply Teacher, supporting all grades at the Elementary level.

Wherever he finds himself, Gabriel brings his skills of non-judgmental listening with him. It is natural for him to speak with anyone from any walk of life. “Each person has a story, and I am interested in hearing what one has experienced in one’s life.”

In his Psychotherapy practice, Gabriel values being present with his clients. His knowledge of Yoga and Breathing Practices serve to support clients as they develop emotional awareness. Alongside holding safe space and offering reflection, he supports clients to take agency in their own lives to make the changes that they desire.
